‘I think it’s good that he has an understanding of politics and politicians. He knows our world and he knows our thinking and I think that has made a difference as someone who has come to my world with a certain knowledge. One of the things we have been discussing is that this [the painting] has to have a lasting quality to it because it’s going to hang in a place full of traditions. We know that Frederiksborg Castle will be exist long after we are gone and I think that puts a certain seriousness and gravitas to this picture as well.’
